What does the audience think?

 We wanted to do a survey of people close to us (young people and adults), to find out their position and knowledge about pornography. We got 28 responses and what we found was the following:

👉What do you think of pornography? The majority of those surveyed affirmed that pornography is negative, causing the degradation of women and the idealization of bodies, as well as the false perception of sex. While others simply took it as a business that serves for economic rent.

👉Do you think that pornography shows the reality of sex? They all said no, that porn is about fantasies and fiction, with unreal sex full of exaggerated bodies.

👉Do you think that the consumption of pornography affects the way we see bodies and sexuality? The answers were affirmative, agreeing that people are seen as machines and sexual objects, in addition to the creation of the ideal of bodies with great attributes.

👉Schools VS Pornography: When asked where to learn more about sex, 72% thought that it was in educational institutions, since they are taught with the truth and not with fiction as pornography does, which is not educational. The other 28% headed towards pornography, since it is still a taboo subject in schools where they teach superficially.

👉Is pornography still considered taboo? Many expressed that in the 21st century it is still seen in a derogatory and bad way, building fear and sorrow when talking about it, since we are still surrounded by traditional and conservative criteria. 👉How important does pornography give to gender roles? Opinions were divided on this question: Some people thought that it is very important, since pornography shows that pleasure tends towards one of the two genres, but not both. In the other group, they thought that it was not important, since the type of content that is sought depends on the genre and may correspond to the fantasies and fetishes that each genre has.

👉Do you think that the porn industry imposes certain body stereotypes in order to sell the idea of greater pleasure? In general, everyone agrees that the industry makes people believe the idea that defined and "well-endowed" bodies are the only ones that generate pleasure.
